Entity
An entity is a distinct, recognizable thing, a brand, person, product, or concept, that an AI system can identify, disambiguate, and connect consistently across different sources, rather than treating as just an unrelated string of text each time it appears.
Why it matters
Entity recognition determines whether a model treats a brand as a known, verified thing it can confidently name, or an ambiguous string it hedges around instead. Consistent naming, schema markup, and mentions across other credible sites all feed into whether a brand gets resolved as a clear entity.
