Share of Model
Share of model measures the number of mentions a brand receives from one or more specific large language models, expressed as a proportion of total brand mentions across the whole category, for a given set of queries.
Why it matters
Share of model gets used almost interchangeably with AI Share of Voice, but the more precise version of the term isolates results by individual model. ChatGPT's share of model for a brand can differ sharply from Gemini's, which is exactly the kind of per-model breakdown that matters when deciding where to invest content effort.
